Up to 60 candidate places per date, with January sitters coming together for a full timed mock, practical talks and Q&A. Your contribution helps create a useful experience at an important point in their preparation.
For law firms, legal recruiters and education providers, it is a chance to support candidates and share useful early-career resources. For local businesses, it is a room full of visitors to Crouch End.

Every paid partnership includes a completion note: actual aggregate attendance and evidence of agreed placements. Series Partners also receive collected feedback in their series recap. Recognition and representative attendance depend on the agreed role. Educational contributions depend on programme fit. Prices and offer details are in the private pack.

Who will we meet?
January 2027 SQE1 candidates who have chosen to spend a Saturday sitting a full timed paper. Up to 60 candidate places per date, on Saturday 19 December 2026 (FLK1) and Saturday 2 January 2027 (FLK2). Candidates can attend one date or both, so the audiences may overlap.
How do we get involved?
Email your organisation and the partnership or contribution you have in mind. We will send the sponsor pack and agree the relevant placements, resources and attendance in writing.
Can we contribute something other than money?
Yes. Learning materials, book vouchers, refreshments and practical expertise all have a place. Tell us what you have in mind and we will build a role around it.
Will we receive candidates' contact details?
No. Candidate details are never shared with sponsors. Any offer you make reaches candidates through us, and they choose whether to take it up.
What happens after we agree?
We confirm the tier and deliverables in writing, ask for your logo and any resource, and deliver the acknowledgements and any recap included in your agreed role.
Is Mockathon linked to the SRA?
No. Mockathon is an independent practice event run by Barex, separate from the SRA, Kaplan and Pearson VUE.
